Accepted Answer

Yes, from your dashboard, go to “Settings” to update your name, profile photo and other personal details.

Your dashboard is your control panel: you can see your listings, the contact requests you've received, your favourites, your alerts and the view statistics for your listings.

Question 22

How do I verify my email and my phone number?

Accepted Answer

Your email is verified with a code we send to the address you gave; your phone number is verified with a code sent by SMS. Everything is done from “Contact details” in your settings. If you replace an already verified address with a new one, we also ask for your password, for security, and the old address is notified by email. A verified account receives alerts and can be contacted directly by buyers.

Question 23

I'm a real estate agency. How do I register on Zakafy?

Accepted Answer

Go to the “Register my agency” page, available from the Agencies section. You create the owner account and the agency profile in one go: name, description, contacts, area and landmark. To post listings on behalf of the agency, you must have verified your email and phone number. Your agency is then visible in the “Agencies” section of the site.

Question 24

How are my agency's listings displayed?

Accepted Answer

Your agency's listings appear on your agency profile page and in general search results. Users can also search for agencies directly and browse all your listings.

Question 25

Can I see statistics for my listings?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in your dashboard you have access to the statistics of each listing: views, contacts received and trends over time. This helps you see which listings work best.

Question 26

How can I improve the visibility of my listings?

Accepted Answer

Make sure you add good-quality photos, a detailed description and complete information (price, size, exact area). Complete, well-kept listings get more views and contacts.

Question 27

What is the founding offer?

Accepted Answer

The first 0 agencies registered and verified on Zakafy get the founding offer: a reserved place on the home page for one year. An agency is “registered and verified” when its owner account has confirmed its email and phone number and the agency has passed our team's verification. Once the places are taken, registration stays open and free, but without the reserved place on the home page.

Question 28

Do I need to verify my account to post as an agency?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Creating the agency is open to everyone, but to post listings on behalf of the agency, the owner account must have verified its email address and phone number.

Question 29

Are listings verified?

Accepted Answer

Yes, our team checks every listing before it is published. We check that the information is consistent and that the content is appropriate.

Question 30

How do I report a suspicious listing?

Accepted Answer

Every listing has a “Report” button. You can report a listing if you think it contains false information, is a duplicate, spam or a scam attempt. Our team will review the report.

Question 31

Is my personal data protected?

Accepted Answer

By default, the name and photo of an individual are not shown on their listings; their phone number is, unless they choose to hide it. To measure its audience, Zakafy uses Google Analytics. On the web and on Android, it also sends events (contact, sign-up, listing submitted, alert) to Meta, with hashed identifiers (email, phone, account), to measure its advertising. Details: the privacy policy.

Question 32

What advice do you give to avoid scams?

Accepted Answer

Never send money before you have visited the property in person. Be wary of prices far below average. Check the seller's identity and prefer meeting in public places. If in doubt, report the listing.

Question 33

Why do some sellers appear as “Individual” instead of by name?

Accepted Answer

By default, Zakafy protects the privacy of individuals: their name and photo are not shown publicly. An individual with a verified identity can choose to show their real name from their settings, to inspire more trust. Agencies and property intermediaries (démarcheurs) whose licence card we have checked (Property intermediary badge) are always identified by name. Hiding the name does not cut off contact: the seller can still be reached, by phone or WhatsApp if their number is shown, otherwise through Zakafy messaging.

Question 34

How can I contact the Zakafy team?

Accepted Answer

You can write to us through our contact page or send us an email. You'll find all the contact details at the bottom of the site, in the “Support” section.

Which languages is Zakafy available in?

Accepted Answer

Zakafy is available in French, Italian and English. You can change the language at any time from the menu at the top.

Question 36

I have a technical problem. What should I do?

Question 37

Does Zakafy have a mobile app?

Accepted Answer

Yes: the app is available on the Play Store for Android and the App Store for iPhone. You can also keep using Zakafy as a mobile-friendly website from your phone's browser, and add it to your home screen.
